Craniosacral Therapy
Training for Healthcare Professionals is the first dedicated
course in the UK designed specifically for midwives and other
healthcare professionals working with mothers, babies and
young children.
The core theme of the
programme is to develop a deep understanding of craniosacral
therapy and its role in midwifery and post-natal care. This
course is designed to explore these dynamics in greater detail
and provide skills that will enable safe and effective
treatment of a range of conditions that can be related to
birth.
The aim of the course is
to train practitioners to be effective and safe in the use of
craniosacral therapy and to offer a professional training that
will enable them practice safely on both adults and babies.
This course is approved
by the

Complementary
Medical Association.
Graduates are elegible to join the CMA's professional
register and have access to its block insurance scheme.
This course is also
accredited with the Royal
College of Midwives and is registered for career
development loans.
The next full training
will start in September 2008 and will be held at Poole
Hospital NHS Trust and Sherborne, Dorset. The full course
consists of 40 days training spread out over 18 months.
Most of the seminars are
held at weekends with 4 four-day blocks during the 18 months
of the course. The dates for 2008 are as follows: 13 & 14
September, 11 & 12 October, 6 & 7 December.
