CMA approved course wins CAM Student of the Year Award

Clementina Bailey, a student on the Craniosacral Therapy training course for Midwives being held at Poole Hospital NHS Trust in Dorset has been awarded the prestigious CAM student of the year award.

Clementina is a midwife working at Dorset County Hospital and qualified as a midwife in 2003. She became interested in Craniosacral Therapy from having treatment for headaches, which she thought were related to her birth.

She says: 'This got me interested in working with babies. Working many nights and seeing distressed babies suffering with colic and headaches made me want to help them further. When the Craniosacral Therapy for midwifery practice came to my attention I couldn't wait to enrol. It has changed the way I work as a midwife because I feel much more in tune with mother, baby and family. It was a thoroughly excellent course, very insightful and a life changing experience.'

A new Craniosacral therapy course which is accredited with the Royal College of Midwives will be starting later this year. For details of this and other introductory courses please see www.cranionatal.com or phone 0800 0436 935.
